As a collective of Asian American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian (AAPINH), South West Asia and North Africa (SWANA), Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Mixed-Race theater artists and leaders, CAATA celebrates the vitality of our communities while working toward our shared values of social justice, cultural equity, artistic diversity, and inclusion.
Why become a member of CAATA?
Your membership is a commitment to our collective future. By joining CAATA, you pledge to support the growth of AAPINH, MENA, SWANA, and Mixed Race theater at both regional and national levels. You’ll also gain access to a vibrant, cross-disciplinary network of artists, organizations, and cultural leaders who support and uplift one another.

Choose which membersip is right for you:
For anyone who identifies as AAPINH, SWANA, MENA, and/or Mixed Race who works in any sort of theater-related role. We welcome actors, directors, playwrights, designers, stage crew, technicians, producers, arts administrators, and everything in between!
$50 per year
Benefits include:
Access to a members-only portal of the CAATA website, which includes the CAATA member directory
Your profile included in the CAATA member directory
Ability to view and connect with others listed in the CAATA member directory
Training opportunities with industry experts
1-on-1 mentorship program
Opportunity to submit your events, performances, castings, hiring, and more for CAATA to amplify to the general public and/or within the membership
Discounts to productions and events around the country
Free or reduced entry to CAATA regional in-person and online events
Early access to book tickets for ConFest
10% off any CAATA merch
For students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate-level post-secondary education program. Must be renewed on an annual basis. All benefits of the Individual Membership listed above are included.
$25 per year
Benefits include:
All the same benefits as an Individual Membership at a reduced student rate.
For any theater-related organization that identifies as being of/by/for the Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, Southwest Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, and/or Mixed Race communities. Membership is renewable for a three-year term. This membership is designed for smaller companies with 1-5 full-time employees.
$350 per 3-year term
Benefits include:
Two individual memberships* (see full benefits listed above), plus a 10% discount on any additional annual memberships hosted by your organization (*these do not need to be the same individuals for the entire three-year term)
Ability to host training for your entire staff at a reduced rate (This can be custom-tailored to your needs by speaking with a CAATA representative. Examples include, but are not limited to: bystander intervention, playwriting workshops, anti-racism facilitation)
An acknowledgement of your organization listed on the public CAATA website
Your organization is included in the CAATA membership directory
Your upcoming performances and events are highlighted in CAATA newsletters and social media
Priority to host/collaborate with CAATA for regional or online meet-ups
Priority consideration for Board nomination opportunities
Up to 5 hours per year of organizational support from CAATA for anything your team may need, including artist care, community engagement, conflict navigation, or visioning support.
For any theater-related organization that identifies as being of/by/for the Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, Southwest Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, and/or Mixed Race communities. Membership is renewable for a three-year term. This membership is designed for mid-size companies with 6-15 full-time employees.
$700 per 3-year term
Benefits include:
All the same benefits as the Org Membership <-
For any theater-related organization that identifies as being of/by/for the Asian-American, Pacific Islander, Native Hawaiian, Southwest Asian, Middle Eastern, North African, and/or Mixed Race communities. Membership is renewable for a three-year term. This membership is designed for large companies with 16 or more full-time employees.
$1,000 per 3-year term

For any theater-related organization that does not identify as an AAPINH/MENA organization, but does support the mission of CAATA’s work. Membership is renewable for a three-year term. This membership is designed for smaller companies with 1-10 full-time employees.
$500 per 3-year term

Two individual memberships for your AAPIN/SWANA/MENA/Mixed Race staff members (see full benefits listed above)
An acknowledgement of your organization listed on the public CAATA website
Inclusion in CAATA’s e-newsletter of your upcoming performances and events that showcase the talent of AAPIN/SWANA/MENA/Mixed Race theater artists
Ability to host/collaborate with CAATA for regional or online meet-ups
Up to 5 hours per year of CAATA consulting support for questions, challenges, or concerns related to racial equity, cultural accountability, or AAPINH/SWANA/MENA/Mixed-Race representation in your programming or operations.
For any theater-related organization that does not identify as an AAPINH/MENA organization, but does support the mission of CAATA’s work. Membership is renewable for a three-year term. This membership is designed for larger companies with 11 or more full-time employees.
$1,000 per 3-year term
Benefits include:
