Open Forums
CAATA’s Online Community Connection Spaces are a new, member-exclusive initiative launching in 2026 in celebration of CAATA’s 20th anniversary. Created for CAATA members across roles, regions, and identities, these open and welcoming Forums offer space for informal connection, reflection, and relationship-building beyond traditional meetings or programming. They are intentionally designed to support presence over productivity, listening over urgency, and relationship over outcome.
Rooted in CAATA’s enduring commitment to community care, equity, and joyful gathering, these spaces honor twenty years of collective work while creating room to deepen relationships, share experiences, and build trust across our national network. Whether members come to reconnect, meet new collaborators, reflect on the field, or simply be in community, these gatherings invite participation as you are—strengthening the relationships that sustain our artists, organizations, and shared future.
Legacy. Resistance. Evolution (2026)
CAATA has grown into a vital cultural community for artists, organizations, and visionaries across the country. As we mark this 20-year milestone, we celebrate our journey by taking intentional action to honor our roots, activate the present, and build for the future. We uplift our founders, past ConFests, and the artists who shaped Asian American theater; we showcase the brilliance of our current members through joy, reflection, and resistance; and we engage in forward-looking conversations to strengthen programs, deepen artist engagement, and ensure CAATA’s continued service and vibrancy for decades to come.
